Types Of Counselling We Offer

Here at The Well, we offer a wide range of therapies which are suited to your personal needs. These vary in price between £35-£50 per hourly session.

Person Centred Counselling - Here, the client can explore their expeiences, thoughts and feelings, gain new perspectives on issues, and develop their own solutions to problems.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy - Together the client and therapist may explore the clients past and think about how events from their past may be shaping current behaviour.

CBT - The therapist helps the client to identify unhelpful or destructive thoughts and behaviours and to use practical tools to challenge problematic thought patterns and change behaviour. CBT is about changing the way a person thinks or behaves.

Integrative - As individuals, we think, feel and react in different ways. By integrating different therapies such as person centered counselling, CBT and psychodynamic psychotherapy we can work with each client to produce a unique therapy adapted to suit each clients needs to bring about positive change in their life.

EMDR & Trauma Counselling - EMDR therapy is used to resolve symptoms resulting from disturbing and unresolved life experiences. Here, the goal is to shift the focus from what is seen and heard and instead focus on the negative thoughts and emotions that are being felt. Through Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy, the client can unblock the difficulties they have in the information process and the trauma can be allievited very swiftly.

Mindfulness - Mindfulness is a way of paying attention to the present moment by using techniques such as meditation, breathing and relaxation. It helps us become more aware of our thoughts and feelings so that instead of being overwhelmed by them, we are better able to manage them. It's aim is to reduce stress and anxiety and promote self-acceptance and piece of mind.

Mentoring & Supervision

Mentoring - Mentoring is for individuals who feel they are not achieving the balance and clarity in their work or home life. The aim is to strike a balance, and set goals to facilitate change.

Supervision - We also offer supervision for Counsellors and Therapists.
